Breckwell Pellet Stove Choices

I remember about 20 years ago my father purchasing a Breckwell pellet stove. He was looking for a cheaper alternative to heating a vacation home we had on a lake in Oregon. One of the reasons he purchased the Breckwell stove is because it was locally made by National Steelcrafters of Oregon. I remember many nights sitting around the stove, warm and cozy. My father always bragged about how he kept our vacation home heated for almost no cost.
When the time came to choose a pellet stove for our home, our first thought was Breckwell. That Breckwell pellet stove my father installed some twenty years ago was a powerful stove and works today just as well as it did when it was installed. My husband and I were looking for the same type of quality and dependability.
Breckwell doesn't produce just pellet stoves. They also manufacture a line of quality gas stoves, wood stoves and multi-fuel stoves. The Breckwell multi-fuel stoves can burn pellets as well as corn. Some might prefer a multi-fuel stove so that they can choose to burn a lesser priced fuel. We could also get realistic ceramic fiber logs for our Breckwell pellet stove which gives it the look of a wood burning fireplace.
As much as we liked the idea of having a stove in our home we knew that we didn't want wood. We have a traditional wood burning fireplace and know that it requires a lot of clean up. Along with the clean up is the problem of obtaining good burning wood and having a place to store enough to make it a worthwhile energy alternative. My husband and I decided that pellets were the best way to go for us. They're relatively inexpensive and the bags are easy to store.
We learned a lot while we were looking for a stove. Breckwell has many to chose from. They have stoves that range from 55 - 70 hours of burning from one fuel load. We knew that we wanted a wall thermostat to control the heat. You need to consider the noise the blower will make when purchasing a stove. Some find the noise very distracting. Breckwell pellet stoves come with whisper-quiet blowers. They also have a limited lifetime warranty.
When you're choosing a pellet stove for your home you're going to need to know how much square footage you want to warm and the type of insulation in your home as well as how your home was constructed. This way the salesman can help guarantee you'll get the pellet stove that heats your home most efficiently.
