Save Money On Energy With A Harman Pellet Stove

As the price of energy soars more and more people are looking into alternative ways to heat their homes. Last year my husband and I purchased a Harman pellet stove to heat our home. We liked the idea of using a clean burning fuel like pellets that burn CO2 neutral. We like the idea that pellets are actually a byproduct of wood production. Pellets are manufactured using sawdust and scraps. And, most importantly, we loved the look of the Harman pellet stoves and know we got a lot of value for our money.
Harman offers a wide range of products. They have pellet stoves, wood stove, coal stoves and gas stoves. We had a choice of a freestanding pellet stove or a fireplace insert for our traditional wood burning fireplace. We decided that we didn't want to disturb our fireplace so we chose a Harman free standing pellet stove.
Harman had many different types of pellet stoves. Harman Accentra pellet stove, Harman Pellet Pro 38 plus, Harman XXV Pellet stove, Harman P68 Pellet stove, Harman P61A Pellet stove and the Harman P61 Pellet stove.
What we discovered was that it's more important to pick a pellet stove that will do the job you want. And, in order to pick the right pellet stove you need to know exactly how much square footage you want to heat. The salesman also wanted to know what our secondary heat would be and how our home was built and insulated. They experienced salespeople take all these factors into account when the suggest a stove. This way they make sure you get the proper sized Harman pellet stove for your particular needs.
We were very surprised to see how technologically advanced the Harman pellet stoves are. Their Harman Accentra pellet stove doesn't require an old fashioned thermostat. It actually automatically monitors room temperature and the automatically adjusts the feed rate of the pellets and combustion air to ensure even heating. It actually turns itself on and off as needed.
Once you have an idea of the size of the space you need to heat you can look into the hopper size of each pellet stove. This is important because many people don't want to have to fill their hopper more than on a daily basis. If your stove is too small for your home you will find yourself feeding the hopper much more often. You'll notice that Harman stoves are rated by both BTU's and by the area it will heat efficiently.
